From The East

Addresses Home Page Treasury Officers Trestleboard

Brethren,

Twelve months ago, Bright Hope Lodge gave me the honor of serving as Worshipful Master for 2011.  Words simply can’t express how grateful I am for the opportunity that was given to me.  I was both privileged and blessed to have a great group of officers in addition to past masters and trustees that made this year, in my opinion, extremely successful.

I hope that we all remember that Freemasonry was founded thousands of years ago.  I mentioned that to say that many brothers have passed through the doors of our lodge, however, they have maintained the dignity and honor of the fraternity.  Each of us has a responsibility to ensure that we give great care to this wonderful organization that we have been entrusted with so we can ensure that our lodge will continue to grow and produce new leaders for many years to come.

Looking back, as I’m sure most Masters do, there are numerous things that I wish I could have done in addition to a few things I may have done differently.  Overall, I feel confident in the direction that the lodge is going.  I’m extremely thankful for my brother, Brad Hair, who was Master in 2010, for laying a good foundation for my year in the East.  I’m hopeful that the work that we have done this year will enable us as a lodge to continue to become stronger in the years to come.

To the new Master, Brother Steve Cooke, I wish you the best and am confident that you will fulfill the duties entrusted to you and that you will continue to make Bright Hope Lodge one of the best Lodges in the state of Tennessee.

Again, thanks for all of your support.  This has truly been one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

Fraternally,

Bryan D. Hair, Past-Master
